CHILL SESH WITH OUR FOUNDER
What is the inspiration behind Space Sesh?
I wanted to give life to the flame from our campfire logo, and sort of building him into a character. Taterballz, Selena, and I connected through a mutual friend. I chatted with her about the idea, and she completely ran with it. As we were talking about the “little flame guy”, Burnie as he’s now known, we realized we shared the same love for vintage Volkswagen camper vans.
Camper vans are a connection to my past. My Grandad back in England had one, and they’ve been a link to my roots ever since. Taterballz joined my roots with her beloved old camper van and created a sick design for the back of the tee. She wanted to create an environment for our blazed hippie van, and space seemed to be the only logical answer.
Why Taterballz?
Selena is a buddy of mine’s girlfriend. She’s an insanely talented artist. She has her own e-commerce space, Taterballz Shop, with sick accessories, prints, and apparel. Her art really connects to the psychedelic mind. I’m honored to of gotten to work with her on multiple collabs.
What has the reaction been like around the collab?
The Space Sesh collab is really picking up. There have been great reactions to the design online and in our Brick and Mortar store on Race Street. I think it’s just a cool design for everyone. It’s hard not to love a blazed hippie van. It’s the perfect design to show off at a festival or at a chill sesh with friends.
