What is the inspiration behind BC Texas?
The BC Texas collab started with the idea to collaborate with EDUB Skate Co. I wanted to create a Texas-shaped wax and have a design on the wax label that captured both our hometown of Fort Worth and the culture. The wax came out so brilliantly I wanted to place the design Courtney created on a tee. Expand the design beyond the wax.
Why Courtney Coyote?
Courtney Bruce is a graphic designer based in the DFW area. I know her through a member of our BMX crew, Tyler Shaw, here at Blaize Culture. I had seen her work and knew she would be perfect for the collab with EDUB Skate Co. She’s been a pleasure to work with.
What has the reaction been like around the collab?
The BC Texas design has been a hit. Our wax keeps leaving our store shelves as soon as we put them out. I think the design is just a solid nod to Texas. Our culture would be nothing without our red dirt roots.
